Recently, I use my AirPods Pro more frequently than I would have worn my Max. AirPods Max gets a bad rap for its weight, but it’s not the weight that counts. It’s the distribution of those weights; how breathable the materials and overall design is; the clamping force from the form factor (e.g. U-shaped around the head), and so on. I won’t pretend to know about the science behind the ergonomics. There are testers and reviewers who write more in-depth literature on the subject than I do.

App to Convert Lossless Audio on macOS
There are several tools out there, some of them professional and some of them only CLI-based, to convert lossless audio files on macOS. I was specifically looking for a convertor that is preferably free or more affordable and has a GUI support for casual uses. In my specific cases, I happen to have quite a bit of FLAC, ones that I ripped from old CDs, and Apple Music uses ALAC, once proprietary turned open source codec.

I recall The Verge called wireless headphones to be the next quartz watch; the new technology that will soon replace the existing ones, and the consumer wired audio will live on as niche, maybe for hobbyists to admire the craftsmanship. Though I disagree on technical point of the metaphors, —unlike quartz, wireless isn’t inherently cheaper yet— The Verge was right: wireless is the new norm.
