If you have noticed outage, I must apologize. I was experimenting with what can be or should be done with Google Fonts. Of many things Google offers for free, Google Fonts is the platform caters to creative purposes without extra charge. Many font creators contribute towards the goal, and some of the fonts, such as Nanum series from Naver, became de facto fonts (for Korean language) for many. And Google is open to let other websites to take advantage of it.

Yet another post diving into the unguided madness that is privacy laws. By all means, while I am in favor of the privacy regulations, it’s hard for me to fathom what service —not what technology— could be in violation of the new law. Google Analytics had its own share of spotlight, hence why I became aware of it and wrote about it previously. Traffic analytics suites have been the prime subject out of the proposed bill, and that’s what the law and regulators were after, openly discussing how it would shape the industry thereafter. Now, due to the nature of what GDPR and other privacy related regulations, there are a lot of grey areas. One thing I found while researching what to do with the website was that many tips and guides writers decided not to touch on GDPR subject, even though it has been around since 2018 or so.
