It is a story as old as time. I am waiting for a Codex reset. My usage is drained to 0% and stays there until next week, unless the customer representative on my case resolves the issue first. I will probably do a more in-depth write-up once I hear back.

Codex Resets is a free website that logs the Codex usage limit resets announced on X by the OpenAI executive who leads Codex. Each entry links to the original post and is labeled banked or “regular”, next to running stats such as the average interval and the longest wait. Notifications are available through the browser, Telegram, or email, and the data is offered through a free public API and MCP server.

As a reminder, the reset is not a promised part of the plan, and the website does not predict in any way when the next one might happen. A banked reset in Codex stays in your account for 30 days, unlike some platforms, so there is no need to plan around it. Redeeming one also moves the weekly reset date. Surprises do exist, though, as “regular” resets apply immediately.
