I don’t buy as much as I used to from Amazon, partly because the platform is now also plagued with generic items that are also available on Chinese platforms. Why pay for pacific crossing twice, only to be charged double or more for the same product? But there are still products that can only be bought from Amazon, — as to why they didn’t move to different storefront, I have no clue — but the platform’s international shipping capabilities are also deteriorating with less than ideal shipping service.

If you are shopping NAS drives on Amazon, one of the things to look out for is occasional discounts manufacturers or Amazon might have. This is especially handy for anyone who is living abroad with weird customs code. As I happen to be living in South Korea, hard drives that costs (including shipping, local taxes, and etc.) more than $150 incurs additional taxes, namely 10% sales tax; one of the reason why I am always looking for discounts on NAS drives.

iPad as a tablet is classic, but not innovative anymore. Like everyone had said, it’s like “iPhone on steroid.” Surface, on the other hand, took bold step to combine a laptop and a tablet. We can figure out later if it’s working or not. Kindle is not even a tablet. Amazon is not even promoting basic Kindle as a tablet line, only Kindle fires, which still has more focuses on entertainment aspects. Want a tablet? Might as well buy a Pro tablet without a keyboard. Wait, is that really Pro?
