Microsoft will begin testing its disc-to-digital program with Xbox Insiders on August 31. A supported Xbox One or Xbox Series X disc will grant a digital entitlement, including Play Anywhere and cloud access where the game supports them. Microsoft calls this preservation, but the program excludes what I consider Xbox’s most successful generation: the 360. It looks instead like retention, allowing owners of the two most recent generations to carry supported physical purchases into the Xbox ecosystem.

Is Microsoft Axing Xbox Console?
There are already leaked insider talks and rumors of how Microsoft higher-ups see of its gaming division. And it isn’t completely alienated from the yes mens I’ve seen on the internet; the idea was that with seemingly infinite budget Microsoft could muster, the entire console market is within reach. Suffice it to say, throwing money wasn’t the solution the investors nor the company wanted.
App to Convert PC Xbox App Saves for Different Platforms
I’m on the process of writing a similar themed op-ed that highlights the exact issue I am having with the Xbox App. One would imagine save files on all PC games would be platform-agnostic, so long as the platform in question has a Windows presence. That is simply not the case with the Xbox app for PC. Xbox uses its unique save file structure, possibly for cloud support.
How to Remedy Hotfix #30 Graphical Glitches on Baldur’s Gate 3
In the recently released Hotfix #30, there is a known issue on Baldur’s Gate 3 where the game starts to have graphical glitches once fast-traveled to a different location. On DirectX 11 mode, the screen simply goes dark except for the UI; on Vulcan, the screen’s color is distorted to pink or purplish hue. It does happen randomly. There were times it didn’t affect me after fast-travel.
