Privacy Policy
Effective: October 12, 2026
This page explains the limited information processed when you visit The Mad Tea Party.
Public participation
Public readers do not register for accounts or submit comments. Ordinary historical comments have been removed. Pingbacks are no longer accepted; earlier pingbacks remain published. WordPress trackbacks may still be accepted. A trackback or pingback can include the source site’s URL and title, an excerpt, request metadata, and a public link back to the source.
Site delivery and security
Cloudflare provides DNS, content delivery, and security services for this site. Cloudflare and the origin web server may process request information such as an IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, timestamp, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults. Operational logs and protected backups are retained for security and recovery; information can remain in recovery copies until those copies are retired and is not used there for advertising or audience profiling.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics through Cloudflare’s automatic browser beacon. Cloudflare states that this product does not use cookies, local storage, session storage, or fingerprinting for analytics, and that it discards the visitor’s IP address at its edge after processing. It records aggregate page and performance information such as the requested page and referrer. On the site’s current free Cloudflare service, browser analytics are not collected for visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland.
Cloudflare’s details are available in its Privacy Policy and Web Analytics documentation.
Advertising and privacy choices
Google AdSense is loaded on pages that contain advertising; it is intentionally not loaded on this Privacy Policy or other ordinary static Pages. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local device storage, identifiers, and request information to deliver, measure, limit, or personalize advertising according to your region and choices.
Google’s consent platform provides a consent message for visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and an opt-out message in supported US states. The message itself shows the current participating partners and available choices. Where the AdSense tag is present, its privacy or cookie-settings control can be used to review or change those choices.
See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google’s advertising privacy information.
Embedded content
Articles may embed media or other content from third-party services. Loading or interacting with an embed can send information to that provider as if you had visited its site directly. The provider’s own privacy terms apply.
Administrative access
WordPress login and security cookies are used only for authorized administrators and editors. Before the login page loads, Cloudflare runs a security check; passing it sets Cloudflare’s cf_clearance cookie, which records the passed check for a limited time. Public readers do not receive an account from this site.
Questions and requests
For privacy questions, correction requests, or removal requests concerning information controlled by this site, email admin (at) themtparty (dot) com. Requests involving Cloudflare, Google, or an embedded provider may also be subject to that provider’s own process.
