Force Empty Trash Can on macOS

Running the codes will empty the Trash, but remember to reboot your computer afterward at your convenience. While the error itself is unlikely to affect your entire computer, —if, of course, the deleted file was not system critical— privilege related errors tend to keep spawning until you restart a computer, even if Finder says you have a total access to the file.

Downgrade APFS to HFS+

With everything considered, it is safe to assume APFS simply does not work with spinning drives at the moment. At the current price range SSD is flying, it is unlikely HDD will be completely phased out on consumer products. I expect Apple to release a follow-up on coming WWDC.

How to Make a macOS Bootable Disk

I can’t stress this enough, but try to keep a bootable USB handy with the most recent version of OS, at the very least up to the most recent major release. (i.e. keep a copy of 10.13, if 10.13 is the most recent major release) Also if you happen to do regular fresh-install on your computers, I highly recommend using Time Machine. It can come in very handy to restore important files after a fresh install.
